Some just want him hurt, and a few are trying to discover what happened on that cold autumn night when Triston didn't come home. Enter Jenny Pace (except that isn't her name anymore,)- Triston's former primary school teacher. She and a handful of family and friends are determined to not let whoever is behind this get away. But there's a larger power they are unaware of: he lurks deep in the blackness and uses puppets to carry out his bidding. When Arthur finds out about Merlins magic during a bandit attack, Arthur banishes him from Camelot. After that, Merlin has no home to go to. For a while, he travels and lives in caves. He barely gets anything to eat. Then he stumbles on an old castle. In the castle there is the recipe for a potion to turn into a wolf. Merlin makes it, but he makes a mistake. Meanwhile, Arthur is going crazy without Merlin. A few days after Merlin's banishment, he sends out a search party for Merlin, regretting banishing him. After a weeks of searching, they still have not found Merlin. To distract himself, Arthur decides to go hunting. What will happen when he sees am indigo wolf with too familiar eyes during his hunt? Merlin lays his life on the line to save Arthur yet again, only this time there are witnesses, lots of them. Only Arthur prevents him going to the headman's axe straight away, but Arthur alone cannot save him. That is up to both of them. Merlin is a scrawny kid just trying to find his place. High school is a difficult time for everyone, but especially for Merlin as he tries to struggle through loss, love, friendships, grades, and finding out who he really is. Arthur is a jock and everyone wants to either be him or be with him. He's getting recruited for college for sports and his grades are good. To everyone on the outside, it seems as though he's living the dream. That is, until he finds himself falling for someone he'd never even noticed.

When Gaius is away and Arthur walks into Merlin's room he suddenly sees something that left him shocked. What is he gonna do about this? What will his father think? He didn't know, the only thing he knew was that Merlin needed somebody and that's somebody was him.
