Imagine a society where everything is absolutely perfect, or at least that's what they make it out to be.

Tessa Young is an 18 year old college student with a simple life, excellent grades, and a sweet boyfriend. She always has things planned out ahead of time, until she meets a rude boy named Hardin, with too many tattoos and piercings who shatters her plans.

One day in his hotel room, Niall gets a package of twenty one letters. Twenty one letters about a girl who poured her heart out to Niall, a girl who is dying inside and is trying to fix herself again. As Niall begins to read, and the letters begin to run out, he finds himself knowing and loving this girl, all the while knowing that one day, he's going to have to stop reading. Because she stopped writing.

She was an innocent girl. He was a mislead teen. All he wanted to do was to protect her. She was all he wanted. He tried his best to treat her right. Until one big fight drove her out. "I never loved you!" Those fateful words lead her to the pub.. He found her laying in a pool of blood... And regret everything he did. They were never the same again. "I am so sorry.." He really loves her.... How will he prove her what he said wasn't true?
