It has been two years since Rory Gilmore left Stars Hollow to follow the Obama campaign. It has been two years since Rory turned down Logan's proposal at her graduation. It has been two years, but it still feels as if time has not altered their relationship. Things seem to fall back into place very easily, but is it really that easy to jump back in? Has Logan actually matured? Rory needed time to pursue her career, but now that she has her dream job, can she reconnect with her dream man?

This is the sequel to It All Started At Yale. Is time for wedding bells to be chiming and a family to finally come together. Rory and Logan are to be married and finally be a family with their daughter Lory. With new things thrown at them will they ever get married? These two can't seem to catch a break.

This story takes place 5 years after the original series ended. This will not include scenes or situations from the revival. Rory is a successful writer and Logan's business in San Francisco is really taking off and the only thing they are missing is each other.

Rory is on the campaign trail with Senator Obama working for what is, in my head, somewhere between Huffington Post and Politico- she's writing political pieces and has a blog for the site Reporter Girl: Life as a Rookie Reporter, Logan did propose and walk away- went to California. This story picks up towards the end of June 2007 as the couple reconnects- they've missed each other, they were always destined to be together. But what happens when a sudden and severe illness threatens their newly rebuilt relationship? How will they juggle a life threatening illness, burgeoning careers, parental disapproval and Finn? Slightly AU- Lorelai and Chris had some marital problems, but none of that "you're the man I want to want" stuff, they're actually trying to work through it, going to therapy, it's going well and Gigi is acclimating to Stars Hollow life. Title comes from the quote by Plato: "And when one of them meets with his other half, the actual half of himself, whether he be a lover of your or a lover of another sort, the part are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy."

This AU story follows Rory on her journey after graduation. She experiences something very traumatic that causes her to shut down. Who comes into Rory's life to bring her out of the darkness? I have written the characters as close to canon as possible, but this Rory is a little more bold. ROGAN This is my first attempt at writing a fanfiction. Please review and help keep me on task. Rory doesn't end up telling Logan about there daughter and raises Emily alone with the help from her mother, Luke and the town of Stars Hollow. But what happens when there is a school field trip to his publishing company. then when there is a family alumni gathering at Yale and the huntzburger family see's Emily. Will Rory bump into Logan?
