Kellen and Whisper couldn't be more different. Kellen is a sulky college student with no ambition or interest in his future and a very important part to play in the grand scheme of things. Whisper on the other hand, is a demon with an interest in humans and a passion for tricks and fun. When the two come together, they begin to forge something. Friendship? Love? or is it something more?

These are pieces that couldn't hold my attention or have been forgotten to time. When a splice craze goes viral, people are more than happy to alter some genetics for a month of cat ear instagram pics and photo ops. Nobody had time for research, what could go wrong? But a month turned into two, and two turned into permanence. Permanence turned into 'genetically passable'. Genetically passable became 'Nakaba.' The new race faired as well as all strange things do. Mihka is used to being stared at . "It comes with the territory", is what his mother would say. Being nakaba is easy and it's not. He never imagined he would meet any of the crazies his parents always warned him about, but he struck gold with Cyrus.
