Gerard Way, a French artist, is returning to his hometown in the States for the sudden funeral of his late father. Because of relationship issues, he won't be staying with his family. But the Ieros next door are fully welcoming of him staying in newly renovated basement until he returns to France. Little does Gerard know, Mrs. Iero wants him to meet and fall in love with Lindsey, the "perfect cousin" of the family. Gerard lives in a world where they can only see the 'perfect things'. If something isn't perfect then they simply won't be able to see it. If something once was perfect and then became flawed, then it would be removed from their memory. Frank also lives in this world, however he is seen as flawed, and therefore goes by unseen by the 'perfects' Which is why it confused Frank when Gerard started talking to him. Naturally he assumed that Gerard was like him. Flawed. Imperfect. But able to see how the world truly was. Until he realised that Gerard couldn't see the other flawed people. Only him. What was so special about him that Gerard was able to see him, despite himself being flawed?
