Lance has forgotten that feeling, ever since team voltron had been formed he was he seventh wheel, even when he did something Keith would always be patted on the back for it, becoming the eight wheel after they rescued Matt. Being betrayed after his lion was taken from him because he was 'unfit', 'not working hard enough' because he ' didn't deserve it'. So he left. left the paladins with their problems, left everything behind and started his own, brand new life as the white paladin.

No one knew Keith was that strong, but he really was that, strong. "I'm sick of pretending!" Keith always yelled as he sagged below everyone in ... everything. After Keith is in an accident, Allura places him in a healing pod that gets sucked out of the castle when the galra attack. Keith is now presumed dead, but what if he really survived? And if he did, how much has changed?

The one true weakness to destroying Voltron is on the inside. Break it from the inside out. But that means you must start with the heart.
