"There is always something hidden behind that smile." Highest Rank (backstabbing)- #288 _______________ Amaya is a normal student on the outside just like any of the others in a normal high school. She got her priorities straight to get a scholarship into the best Universities in Canada, very intelligent and is in her senior year impatiently waiting to get out of her dungeon of a school. She talks and interacts with people but you see, she has no-one to share her personal experiences with, or to be straight forward she has no close friends. Except her cousin Arnie who is in his junior year, meaning it's safe to say that she's basically a loner. They don't exactly act like they're close friends, but he's there when she needs him, always. However, aside from Amaya describing SHS, Saskatchewan High School, as a 'dungeon', she still finds it the place where she can find, a bit of joy in her life by drowning herself in piles and piles of school work. Nerd? Kind of. Normal? I guess. Although, she isn't just like some typical nerd who is shy and is invisible to other people. Not at all, she's actually joined many math programs, contest and won various times. She also tutors students which I guess drew in some attention from people, making her talk to more students, but they aren't close enough for her to trust them. She avoids home, from how the problems there are not as lovely as you think. You know there's a difference between homes that welcome you and make you feel like you're loved by the people around you, and homes that well, don't and that my friends is Amaya's world. I guess on the inside her life isn't really as normal as we all thought. But as weeks turn into months, senior years' end is slowly peeking around the corner and as those days come by, just like everyone; she meets new people that slither their way in behind that smile.
