If someone asks you what makes your heart beat faster, logically the answers would be: if you were nervous, surprised, excited, did something strenuous and if you had run. But there's also another reason why it beats. And that would be when you're in love. Although it seems so mawkish, in your case right now, unfortunately, you're on the latter side.

"We don't need things like memories" ~~~~~ Being one of Inarizaki's Volleyball managers is tough, the countless responsibilities and duties could easily become too much for anyone. If it wasn't for her attachment to the team, maybe she would have quit. Y/N is a second year at Inarizaki High School, constantly trying to balance out her school work, manager duties, and her own personal ambitions makes her constantly question how she finds time to deal with the team. Whether the twins are fighting again or causing their own kind of trouble, Y/N knows she can absolutely not rely on Suna or Ginjima to do anything. Maybe if Kita wasn't so helpful, or Akagi wasn't so kind, or even if Atsumu wasn't so clingy, she'd follow through with her threats to quit. But who's she kidding? She loves them too much. [Sakusa Kiyoomi x Reader] This fic will basically follow the friendship that Y/N has with the Inarizaki team, and eventually her relationship with Sakusa =w= (Mega Slow Burn please be warned) (Also contains heaps of manga spoilers)

You never know whose day you might make just a little bit better by handing them a gift - or in your case, a flower. "Oikawa's over there." You eyed the ace curiously, wondering why he had said that, until you realized what he must have meant. He was about to leave when you called again, "Hang on." He turned, and you extended your arm to offer him the flower. "This is for you." i don't own any of the haikyuu characters! originally a one-shot that i turned into a story lol

"Everyone's afraid of something, and yours just happens to be more interesting." Sakusa huffs. "Interesting?" "Yeah, like you. And it's not because you're one of the top aces in the nation," I tell him. A flicker of surprise flashes across his dark irises. We stand there, in a moment that seems to exist out of time, and as the seconds tick by, Sakusa's grim expression shifts into one of contemplation. Finally, he speaks: "You're so genuine, (l/n). I haven't met anyone like you in a long time."
