Slová mojej mamy som si vždy bral k srdcu; lásku človeku najúprimnejšie dokážeš skutkami, nie slovami. Samozrejme, mohol som to použiť aj ako výhovorku, namiesto toho, aby som priznal moju dychtivosť voči Harrymu, no v podstate to bol aj holý fakt, keďže teraz sme už len ležali jeden na druhom, naše nohy boli prepletené, Harryho dlhé prsty prehrabovali moje vlhké vlasy a jeho ešte vždy rýchli dych som cítil, ako pravidelne naráža do mojej hlavy; dopriali sme si oddych po dokazovaní našej lásky. Uvedomoval som si, že je to asi prvý, no zároveň aj poslednýkrát, kedy som s Harrym v tak intímnom kontakte a neklamal by som, pokiaľ by som povedal, že už len z myšlienky stratenia niečoho, čo je pre mňa samozrejmosťou a získania niečoho nového, mi je prvýkrát tak clivo... Posledný deň som vždy bral rovnako, no s Harrym to bolo iné. V hrudi som cítil nepríjemný pocit, moje oči štípali a roztrasenými rukami som zvieral Harryho kožu na jeho ruke, div, že ma za to ešte nezahriakol... Vedel som, že keď dnes zaspí, keď ja dnes zaspím, ocitneme sa opäť na začiatku a všetko sa zmení. A keď som začal cítiť, že Harryho dotyk na mojej hlave sa pomaly ustáluje, že nadvihovanie hrude na ktorej som ležal, bolo stále dlhšie a pomalšie, bolo to pre mňa posledné znamenie. Možno som tak porušil vlastné pravidlo, ktoré som si dal a ešte možno viac nerozvážne ako inokedy z mojich úst v rýchlosti po prvý raz vyšli slová, ktoré dokazovali, ako Harryho veľmi ľúbim.
