This is a story about the love together, and how the cases they work - or maybe just a particular case - affects the relationship they share together. This is third installment of "Racing Through Chicago," following "An Unfortunate Mix-Up" and "Murder She Wrote." It is not necessary to read the previous two stories to understand how we got here, but some of the things that happened may be discussed here. This story is also being written on the same timeline as "Chicago Love," as well in the series.

So both @cpdcfcmed7410 and I received requests to write a follow up scene for CPD 4x15 and well, being besties, we decided to combine our writing styles and do a one shot together. Hope you enjoy it!

He tried to call her, but she declined all the calls, changed her number, and moved to New York. She got Voight to pull some strings to work with the FBI. Little did she know, she was pregnant, and it could only be one person's. What happens when Erin must come back to Chicago and face her old life?

Jay halstead was a man who was restarting his life in Chicago, a former ranger with many traumas from the past, with the family destroyed by a murder. Erin lindsay Benson voight was also restarting, after many changes in her life she is restarting and everything was going very well. Will these two be the new beginning they needed?

When your life is hanging in the balance, you realise exactly what's important to you. When Erin and Jay are kidnapped, they can only begin to imagine why. So when Jay's past comes back to haunt him will he ever be able to fix what's happened?

A bomb goes off, trapping Lindsay and Halstead in the rubble. Halstead will stop at nothing to save his partner's life. Alternate ending for Season 1 episode 2, a dark day. This is if Mills hadn't found the second bomb in time.
