They knew each other when they were young, nearly children. But when their near-adulthood came in, they left each other to do what they wanted. It's been centuries since they've last seen each other. **This story has cutting and suicidal thoughts / possible actions. DO NOT read if it is a trigger** Each of them were left traumatized from that "Failsafe" mission. But some more than others. Robin refuses to stay at the Mountain long, and when he does it's only for the obligatory training. After that he always retreats to his own room in the Cave. Granted, Batman believes he's better off staying at the Manor but Alfred can't watch him 24/7 when he's busy with League business. Robin is frankly annoyed with his paranoia but due to Robin's... past trauma and coping methods he understands. Still doesn't like it, and he makes that well known. The Team however are getting seriously weirded out with his attitude. Were they affected by the simulation? Absolutely. But it's been weeks now, and Robin's demeanor has only gotten worse. Wally is the only one other than Batman that's able to get more than two words out of him but that's not saying much. Why is he behaving this way? And will he resort back to his old coping mechanisms?

Sure, Richard "Dick" Grayson has saved many people as Robin and now Nightwing. But in the uniform he can use all of his skills and talents. In civilian clothes he can't in order to protect his identity. But that won't stop him from saving others, even at the cost of his own life.

As expected, Nightwing is taking full blame for that 'horrible' plan, Artemis and Kaldur have tried to share that blame but he refuses. He believes he is to be blamed for everything. And maybe he is. But he's determined to fix what he's done. EDIT: This story has been discontinued and will eventually be rewritten with the same name and cover.

What if Dick was to die in the line of duty. He hadn't let anyone care about him for a while. How would all his old beloved friends act? Would they even care? (This isn't a very good description. Set not long after Failsafe. Robin is scorned from the rest of the team because they believe he 'willingly turned on them' when he made the final decision to blow up the mothership. As nightwing gets into a deadly fight with a old villain that nearly kills him he finds himself at the Wayne manor again after the fight he had with Bruce he left, didn't contact his family come to think about it he hasn't talked to anyone sense a few years after Jason came Back as the red hood ...... how will the family act when there oldest brother comes back beaten and bloody????
