This is THE ULTIMATE GUIDE to Harry Potter fanfictions. Here, you will learn the dos and don'ts of the wizarding world, and how to handle your fanfiction in a way worthy of Rowling herself. You can learn to avoid cliches, think creatively, and make your readers forget they're reading a fanfiction at all, which is the goal. Hi, I'm Ellie, and I may not be JKR, and my word is not law, I have quite a bit of experience writing fanfiction. I will be the first to admit, too, that some of my earlier works are as cliche as Harry Potter having a twin sister, and there's no shame in that! Just be glad you can learn from your mistakes, and mine, and be prepared for a couple of laughs along the way! Warning: This is NOT a rant book. I don't just say what I think is wrong with fanfics, I give suggestions to make them better. Very rarely will I let my emotions control what I'm writing in this book. Feel free to rant within the comments, but don't expect me to do the same!

Wattpad is somewhere amateur writers can test their creativity in a supportive environment. It's a wonderful place..once you get it figured out. I wanted to share some of my thoughts about writing, especially about how things work here on Wattpad.
