Magnus McCary, better known as the serpent nicknamed Ryder, had been on the Southside of his hometown for his entire life, never telling his family he was part of the notorious gang, the Southside Serpents. His family moves when he starts his sophomore year and he now lives on what is the safer part of town. However, with a murderer on the loose, no one is safe. What's worse is feeling the sting of young love, when the boy he loves may find out what Magnus really is.
