Naruto brings Sasuke back to the village, but everyone ignores the him and pay more attention to Sasuke. The leaf village has grown lazy and weak, Tsunade gives all her attention to the Rookie 9 and team Gai. Konohamaru is disgusted by the once proud and powerful village that his grandfather had died for, was now lacking Chunin and Jonin because of the Hokage's favoritism for the four teams. He encounters a mysterious ninja who tells him of a village that was once destroyed, was out on an island in the ocean. Konohamaru is given the choice to leave his birth village along with the other Genin to a place were he'll feel appreciated and a village with more power.
