Summary: This story goes between the Christmas break of James Potter and Lily Evans' sixth year at Hogwarts to their seventh year, and it is basically just because I ship Jily so much it's just not funny anymore. Lily and James become closer and Lily finds herself falling in love with the toe-rag. Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Harry Potter. The year was 1977. The First Wizarding War was really heating up. Tensions are high and danger lurks around every corner. People are making efforts to bright spots in the darkness, but it becomes increasingly difficult as time marches on. The staff of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are trying their hardest to try to maintain the same air of pure magic, jovial nature, and light. Whether they are fully successful is up for debate. The staff this year, however, will have some help. Lily Evans is entering her seventh year. She's 17 and has a shining future ahead of her. She thinks that her biggest challenges of the year would be her rigorous classwork in preparation for her N.E.W.T. exams, keeping up with her Head Girl duties, and putting up with the Marauders; normal stuff. This is my second Jily fan fiction that I'm writing and this one is entirely Lily's POV! I just have so many ideas for James and Lily, that I had to make an entire new story!
