After Harumi's death, she finds herself not in the Departed Realm, but what appears to be a mirror dimension of Ninjago. In the Jade City she meets the counterparts of her old foes and a boy going through the exact same experience. Suddenly Harumi is said to be a prophesied "Chosen One" tasked with defeating the ancient Shadow Knight. She and the Ninja decide to embark on a journey to retrieve the fabled Crystal Blade so that Harumi can fulfill her destiny.
