Cora Cartmell was a happy little girl living in Southampton, England with her brother, Mother, Father, and grandparents. One day A devastating fire hits their home, leaving her little brother and grandfather dead. Days later, her father surprises them with tickets on the Titanic, which will change Cora's life completely.

I was all alone. My parents had died in the sinking. I'm pretty sure they thought I died with them while trying to escape. I'm not sure if Uncle Jack and Aunt Rose made it out alive, but if they did, I'd know what to do. I have been living on the streets for the past year, I have been to many stores and once I told them my story they gave me food, Possibly because I'm a kid.

After the Titanic sinks, 8 year old Cora Cartmell goes on to live with her Uncle Jack and Aunt Rose in New York City's Lower east side. There, scary things occur, Cora becomes and actor, starts school, makes new friends, and gets news of a baby sibling.
