So when the High King Cardan turns up unexpectedly on her doorstep, she sees a chance to use him to find a way home. But Jude and Cardan have been playing each other for a long time, and neither can hold up their charades for ever. The night will turn out very differently to what both had planned.

Oak begs to go to the amusement park, and while Cardan is scared as heck, Jude agrees happily.

These are not necessarily my exact predictions of where Queen of Nothing will pick up when it comes out next year, but there are elements to this story that I think could play a huge role in the third book in the series.
