How long does it take to forgive? Weeks? Months? Years? A lifetime? When we forgive, does it really heal us? Does it rewind all the versions of us that we lost? Does it bring back the love we had to give up? I don't understand what forgiveness really feels like. Or maybe, I've learned to live life believing it doesn't exist. And maybe that's why I've always been heartless-to people, to myself. Does it make any sense? I guess it's easier to spare people forgiveness. But forgiving oneself is torture-endless torture. It's a journey that never ends. It's a wound that forever bleeds.
