after the pogues find out about the terrible news of John B and Sarah's "death", everyone is heartbroken and don't know how to move forward in their life. Kiara being confused and frustrated about her feelings for pope, and goes to JJ for comfort. JJ then feels something he's never felt before for kie, will he express his feelings or hide them in order to keep his friendship ?

And for the first time in a very long time, JJ felt at ease. The burning sensation in his chest that had resided there for weeks was replaced by the warmth of Kiara's cheek resting against it. The constant headache he could never shake was replaced with a sense of contentment. The churning of his stomach caused by the constant anxiety that was his life now was replaced by a warm, butterfly feeling caused by the girl asleep in his arms. Three months have passed since John B. Routledge and Ward Cameron's daughter have disappeared in the sea during the storm. The Maritime Police of Outer Banks, alongside with the SBI, are still patrolling the area, searching for any sign of the missing children and the Phanton, Luke Maybank's race boat. After John B's disappearance, each one of the Pogues face their heartbreaking mourning on their own. Pope blames himself for telling John B. about the gold on Ward's plane. He can't cope the feeling of regret and decides to stay away from the Pogue life, Kie and JJ to focus on his academic future. Kiara feels like a princess locked in a tower, being parted from everything and everyone. Her parents forbade her from being with her Pogue friends on behalf of their family's reputation and her own safety. But JJ Maybank is, by far and most certainly, who's suffering the most with John B's absence. After stealing his father's Phantom boat, JJ got kicked out of his house and has to live in the Chateau. But being surrounded by the memories of his wrecked friendships isn't doing him any good. He's as reckless, wild and cold-blooded as ever. JJ is putting on a facade, but Kie can always see right through his bullshit. And telling her to stop being emotional won't prevent her from helping him.
