Only eight men and women in England are affected by an unnamed disorder only referred to as "ghost syndrome", making them believe they are ghosts that have somehow been trapped on earth after their deaths. Unable to function with their daily lives, they're locked up in Button House, a high-security psychiatric hospital where some of them have been staying for more than ten years. Until a cure for their psychosis is found, this is where they must stay. This hasn't stopped a total of twenty-five escape attempts, however, nineteen of which come from the same person. When a new patient arrives, the hospital is suddenly sent into lockdown, and after they discover a secret about the person running the facility, they have to flee once and for all. However, their escape doesn't go to plan, and now they have to go back for those that have been trapped inside. It's up to the patients to choose between delusions and reality, and it's up to the man who calls himself Captain to figure out what the cure for ghost syndrome really is. TW: trauma, mental illness, brief mention of SA, guns, stabbing, attempted murder, murder, suicide, basically a shitload of violence and then some --- Started writing it, had a breakdown... bon appetit.

Kevin is 33 years old. Him and his wife divorced two years ago, and because she kept the house he was forced to move back in with his parents. There aren't any jobs available that will earn him enough cash to move back out, so to slowly make his way back to the average life he had, he became what he had been when he first finished school - a bin man. He sort of liked it. Well, at least he did until he got himself crushed by his own truck, bled to death and became yet another ghost stuck in Button House.

He's funny and cheeky on one hand, but quite a romantic dreamer on the other. He's been in love with Ben for years, and he's confessing on the first chapter. Ben (43 years old) is married and also a father of two. His sense of humor is quite similar to Mat's, but a bit more settled, more mature. He also loves Mat, but his attitude to face their relationship is slightly less daring than Mat's, whose behaviour seems a bit risky. In the chapters of this book, you'll see them going through a lot of loving situations, sex encounters, fights, tears, but most of all, you'll experience their love along with them. Hope you enjoy.

Sotherby (Ben Willbond) is a fake character, not historical, who plays Charles' adviser on the series. He's sensible, reliable and responsible. He appeared on series 3 only -episodes 4 and 12-, but the chemistry on screen between both characters was enough to inspires these stories, which I hope you enjoy.
