It's fast times at Royal Oak High in 1978. Tommy is a HS junior, and the year is pretty much starting out as one big hot mess for him. Asshole friends, clingy girls, nosy parents, and a demanding marching band schedule are stressing him the fuck out, not to mention an inner turmoil that's been lurking for years, but now seems impossible to ignore. In typical Tommy fashion, he just does what he does best; plaster a smile on his face and roll with it. Nikki is a recent transplant to Royal Oak. He hates school, and he's not here to make friends. He's been offered an incentive to stay the fuck in school, and it's his only reason for being there. Only, things actually aren't so bad there. He was lured into joining the football team, and it's been almost therapeutic for him. Nikki thinks that maybe, just maybe, thinks might be on the up and up for him, despite a rocky homelife. Then one day, this unlikely pair meet, bonded by a love of music. Each is beginning to see life from a different perspective, as they learn about each other. Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side, and sometimes it's shit brown. They soon learn what happens when you're born in the wrong decade; you make it you own.

The band goes to record in the studio and Axl's in a bad mood. Slash tries to help him but Axl lashes out. Axl storms off and goes missing for days. (Slaxl) I do not own Guns N' Roses.
