Two stories, brought together by twists, turns, and a mess of events. (Y/N), a kindly soul from Recoverytale, finds themselves assuming the role of hero, a role they never wanted. Although they are safe with Dream by their side, no one else is. And that simply isn't fair, is it? (N/N), a bold adventure seeker from Recoveryswap, is desperate to find the Nightmare they loved-desperate to save him from the Darkness. But of course, it's never easy to save someone that hardly wants to be saved. The two souls both long for it all to end peacefully. They both wish for their happy ending, but it'll take more than hopes and dreams to get it. Meanwhile, Nightmare is in a state of divided conflict. As he rebels against the Darkness, the Darkness fights back. Nightmare is just as desperate as (N/N)-if he doesn't stop himself, the Multiverse will be torn apart at his hands. Dream is trying desperately to both protect (Y/N) and save his brother. But there's no time to save both of them before the Multiverse collapses into chaos. As a war rages on between positivity and negativity, (Y/N) and (N/N) are forced to work together-but it's not only their lives at stake. It's the life of the Multiverse-and a fallen prince-that's on the line. Nightmare. You should know my story well. Heh. I mean the other me's story well. If you don't then where the f*@# are living? Anyways, the story of the two Guardians of Positivity and Negativity. Two beings were created to be guardians of positivity, dreams, the golden positivity apples, and negativity, nightmares, and the dark negativity apples of the tree of feelings. Dream and Nightmare, brothers. Dream was treated with kindness, given many gifts, and so on, having many "friends". Though let's be honest: He was treated with kindness so the villagers would be on his good side, and his friends just use the gullible idiot to get the golden apples. Nightmare, unlike Dream, was treated like shit. He was bullied daily, usually ending up with major injuries, caused by Dream's little "friends". Dream never notices and never figured it out. Until it was too late. One day, after so many years of bullying, Nightmare took a golden apple. Mine are just as good as his, right? The tree's apples quickly all turned "dark". The surrounding monsters of humans started yelling and approaching him. In a panic, he took a bite of the apple. He started throwing up black goop and 4 sharp tendrils burst out of his back. He was starting to be covered in black goop. His eyes turned cyan as one of his eye sockets got covered in the black goop. He killed everyone. He became the "monster" everyone said he is. He attacked his brother. Both left hurt, but not dead. He's also known as the King of Negativity and Nightmares or the Boss of the Bad Guys/Sanses Well... Say he tried to take a bite out of a dark apple, but his "dear brother" stopped him. Say Dream offered help with his "friends". Say Nightmare ran. Say he ran, say he ran deep into the forest to never be seen by his brother again. At least, not as the same person. Characters or art don't belong to me! (Drew the cover)

Nightmare found a young child a long time ago. When they fell into a coma it sent him over the edge. several hundred years later the child wakes up in a castle of darkness, surrounded by people, er... skeletons, that they don't know. Now they are being raised by murderers, cannibals, and world destroyers. Oh yeah! And their Uncle is the god of Death. Fun. WARNING (but not really): This story has been known to give people heart attacks and possible death from wholesome cuteness. I am not responsible for said medical emergencies or deaths. Read at your own risk. ~~~~~~ || Few things. 1) The first couple of chapters are going to basically just be Nightmare, but it's for plot reasons. 2) Dream is definitely going to be a little ooc. Don't like it, don't read. This is just for fun. 3) Like I said, this is just for fun. So, updates are when I feel like it. 4) I'mma try to keep the pronouns for (Y/N) gender neutral, but I may just drop that at some point. A book of Dreamtale oneshots I started writing in 2017 that gradually turned into an actual story by 2020. The writing isn't great at first but I assure you as the oneshots progress you will see improvement :) These are not Dreammare and no ships are made canon, however some are subtly hinted at such as Errormare. Everyone that can wander the multiverse knows that Nightmare and Dream are mortal enemies. One causes sorrow, the other causes happiness. They also know that it had been this way for many years. But it wasn't always that way. {This is my first work, so criticism is welcomed with open arms.} (DREAMTALE BELONGS TO JOKU!! This is just my retelling of the story.) Everyone knows of the classic legend of Dreamtale. How Nightmare betrayed Dream, by eating the apples and destroying everyone who had every wronged him. But what if they had the opportunity to change that? It's been years since the incident. And the opportunity is arising. (Again the art doesn't belong to me, but I plan on making a cover soon)

In the depths of a king's consciousness, something negative has been at the helm for years, summoned by a black fruit and let in by a hurting guardian. His final words before letting go were "Never forget who I used to be." Since then, Nightmare gave up the fight to his own nightmare. What would it take for him to remember himself?

Why should the good guys get all the attention when the crazy people have a more exciting life? Justice Reigns always makes the Meme Squad pay for crimes against their cause, but is that really what they're doing? Join Nightmare, Cross, and Error as they prank JR and do stupid things together in a world that just doesn't accept them. In the end, maybe the real heroes aren't the ones that fight crime, but the ones that cause it.
