After having to once again leave Neptune to go back on active duty in the military, Logan is told this would the final time before he was stationed in a permanent position in San Diego. Again, Veronica is thrilled that Logan will be safe at home and out of harms way. A new case stirs up trouble for the new sheriff of Neptune, Marcia Langdon.
