Katniss Everdeen is a 20 year old girl that has some strong feelings for her best friend. When he comes back home after a mission overseas, she decides to tell him about her feelings. Peeta Mellark is a 20 year old guy who is a soldier in the Army. He's deeply in love with his best friend, and wants to tell her, and decides to do so, when he arrives home. What happens when Peeta get a callback and has to leave again? How does Katniss cope? And most importantly, will Peeta arrive home alive again?

Katniss and Peeta are now expecting another baby and they couldn't be happier. But when Willow starts school and problems arise, it all starts to fall apart. Katniss and Peeta soon learn that they have to pick up the broken pieces and continue on... somehow.

Peeta Mellark has survived the Hunger Games, he escaped the Quarter Quell, then he was rescued from the torturous hands of the Capitol. His memory has been tampered with, so everything he sees could be either real or fake. Instead of a smooth recovery, he is thrown right into war. What would become of him in the end? Broken. (Taking place a little over halfway through the Mockingjay book and after the movie Mockingjay Part 1) This is a somewhat sequel to the other story I wrote called Hijacked, but I think you could read this without reading the other one. After the war, Peeta Mellark is left scarred, hijacked, and broken. After many weeks of rehabilitation, he is finally allowed to return home to District 12. But there is nothing left except a girl he was programmed to hate. He tries to overcome those feelings of fake hatred as he starts to care for her again as much as he once did before. Katniss Everdeen is alone. Everything she'd fought for had turned out to be nothing in the end. She's haunted by the terrifying events of the past and the ghosts of the people who'd brutally died for her. When on the verge of giving up, she finds herself seeking comfort in the boy she once hated, loved, then lost. Her confused but strong feelings are revisited when she finds herself as the nightmare of the only person who can make her feel safe. How can two broken souls grow back together when it seems so inevitable? (This is a double perspective, each chapter is either in Katniss or Peeta's point of view. This is my first fanfic but here it goes. Katniss can no longer fight the feeling inside her. The feeling of true pure love for her boy with the bread. When nightmares plague her dreams she knows that he's the only one who can help. See how Katniss and Peeta grow back together in my interpretation of what happened after Peeta planted the primroses.

This is a continuation of Help Me Make It Through the Night. I'm just breaking it up a little so people will be more interested. Katniss and Peeta have just welcomed their new daughter to the world. How will they deal with raising their daughter and their past. Read it to find out.

Peeta Mellark didn't ask for this. He didn't ask for his father to anger a sorceress and cause her to cast a spell on his castle and all who lived in it. He didn't ask for his father to make a deal with the sorceress to spare himself and his two elder sons exchange for his youngest son being turned into a creature no sane person could ever love and to be left alone, cast aside as a freak. But that is what he received. And just as a neglected spoon tarnishes, as did the heart of the once caring boy. His only chance to break the wretched curse is to love someone and to have her love him in return before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose that will begin wilting at his 25th birthday. Poor Peeta loses all hope by the time his birthday arrives. That is until he meets Katniss Everdeen, a young huntress who comes to be his prisoner. But while he loves her, he has little hope. After all, how can anyone see any beauty in such an ugly beast.
