Think of this like an AU of sorts; I'm taking some of the elements I really like out of Evangelion and adding in some of my own. His entire family treated him no differently, save his Mother, Summer Rose, who took care and tried to protect him from his abusers, but always failed, because she wasn't strong enough. Y/N had prayed several times to the Gods of Remnant for salvation from his hellish life. But he only received more abuse and torture. One fateful day, however, Y/N prayed for strength and power, so he could overcome his tormentors. But instead of being ignored, a mighty voice called to him.
