Kairos is the name, just your average magically gifted Guardian running from her problems... Years ago I walked away from my home, Empire Island, and turned my back on my sacred vow to protect its magic. I thought I could enjoy my freedom, but my past has caught up to me. The island is under threat from demon-possessed recruits destroying hallowed land and poisoning the Well Source of magic. I kicked their ass right away, only to discover the threat I never expected to face was behind it all. Demon King Uruk'Zu himself. To make matters worse, my younger sister has gone missing. Caught up in emotion, I kissed the man who has haunted my dreams for years. It was an innocent kiss, or so I thought. Turns out it was a bad idea. Very bad. With that one kiss we woke a centuries-old fated-mate spell that will curse my life if I deny it. I don't know how I'll fight these invaders, protect my island, find my sister, navigate family drama, destroy the Daemon King and handle this whole fated-mate hot-guy thing. I'd rather run away again, but if I fail, the thin veil of magic separating worlds will tear. Dark chaos will consume my island, everyone I love, and the entire world. No biggie, right? Now if only I could remember how to cast a spell...

Tips & Tricks to Survive the Broom Closet: Those who hide their true magickal identities from friends & family are known as dwellers in "the broom closet". Many who work with magick and witchcraft feel the need to constantly hide their practices, often keeping this way of life a precious secret for many years - even a whole lifetime. While it's always better to be out of the closet, for those who can't find a way out this is the Book of Shadows you need. This is my personal book of shadows, which means it starts with the very basic information for beginners, all the way up to the lesser known, more complex practices that I know about. In it, I provide links to useful articles and websites so you can conduct more in-depth research of your own. Along the way I also provide some helpful information on surviving and thriving in the broom closet. I hope it can be of use to you. Blessed be.

For the Slates, demon slaying is the family business. And eighteen-year-old Perrin has fully embraced her chosen profession. But when her sister, fifteen-year-old Ace, declares she's ready to join the cause, Perrin has her reservations. First of all, the case she's picked involves not one, but three demonic foes. A tricky proposition for any new slayer. Second, something eerily familiar lurks at the heart of the infested town. A red-eyed presence that may or may not be the demon who murdered their brother a decade ago. Third, Ace refuses to listen. To reason, to orders, to sense. And in this line of work, one false move can get you killed. Along with their exasperated father and an overeager grocery store clerk, Perrin and Ace set out to raise a little hell and bag a trio of baddies. But demons aren't the only ones to fear. A secret society has discovered their connection to an ancient bet. One involving their very souls. And as enemies close in on all sides, the Slates will need to trust each other and their training to stay one step ahead of the coming storm. Set against the backdrop of 2010 Middle America, Slate Gray is a nostalgic tale of demons, driving and destiny. Will Perrin sacrifice herself to protect her sister? Will Ace make a deal with the devil to bring their brother back? Only time will tell. "Why the hell am I dreaming about that night?" Marcus muttered to himself, shaking off memories of his human life - the life before he was turned into a vampire. Being back in London after so long, just two days shy of his 300th turn-day, seemed to dredge up the past in unexpected ways. The life of an immortal was never dull, especially for the apprentice known as Marcus Wren.
