Unfortunately so does a junior light tech/electrician destined for a life of crime.

Carmen Sandiego might be settled in with her mother, V.I.L.E. out of sight and out of mind, but she is still broken. As far as she is aware, Gray has been killed at her hands. And that act leaves a wound that can't be healed. In reality, though, Graham Calloway is very much alive, with quite a few regrets of his own. His decision to stay out of Carmen's life has been fueled by a sickening feeling that he isn't good enough for the lady in red. Gray and Carmen join forces after Gray regains his memories, only for their first mission together to turn into a comedy of errors. ..... A caper goes almost comedically wrong for team red as they grapple with how to adjust to the newest member of their team: The Infamous Graham Calloway. When all seems lost Carmen has an idea - the V.I.L.E operatives sent on this mission were El topo and Le chèvre, and she decides to play matchmaker hoping that this will be enough to distract them and maybe give her team an advantage. Meanwhile this brings out new memory flashbacks for Gray who is starting to get ideas of his own involving the woman in scarlet... .... THIS IS A ONESHOT I WILL NOT UPDATE!! .... The last thing Graham Calloway remembers is being shot with the crackle rod by a brain-washed Carmen Sandiego. He wakes up in a hospital, where the Chief of A.C.M.E. lets him know that Carmen is okay. Graham eventually speaks to Carmen himself and they decide to go their separate ways, though the decision is painful for them both. But they aren't apart for long before V.I.L.E. rears its ugly head. Danger once again causes their paths to meet, and Graham and Carmen find that their feelings might run deeper than just friendship. But there's not much time for soul-searching when V.I.L.E. is threatening to steal something more important than money: Their lives. Her best friend, the one who had been there for her ever since she was the scrappy little blacksheep to just a few months ago when she was the suave lady in red. The universe seemed hell bent on keeping them apart, yet Carmen had chosen to risk it all and stay with Gray anyway. Karma had striken her and she had been the one to deliver his fatal blow when all he was doing was trying to save her. Her best friend was dead. Gray was dead. Or was it just another one of Chief Tamara Fraser's lies?

Then: 16 year old Graham is in year 10 at Kensington High. Although he excels in his subjects, he wants something... more. So he applies for a job at the Sydney Opera House as a Junior Electrician. It's better, but it still doesn't have that crackle Graham is looking for. Now: Gray has his memories back, and he remembers his foster family, who he forgot about when his mind was wiped. After loosing Carmen, he decides to head back to Australia to continue his work as an electrician and reunite with his foster family. Although now everything is different.
