Three months have passed since John B. Routledge and Ward Cameron's daughter have disappeared in the sea during the storm. The Maritime Police of Outer Banks, alongside with the SBI, are still patrolling the area, searching for any sign of the missing children and the Phanton, Luke Maybank's race boat. After John B's disappearance, each one of the Pogues face their heartbreaking mourning on their own. Pope blames himself for telling John B. about the gold on Ward's plane. He can't cope the feeling of regret and decides to stay away from the Pogue life, Kie and JJ to focus on his academic future. Kiara feels like a princess locked in a tower, being parted from everything and everyone. Her parents forbade her from being with her Pogue friends on behalf of their family's reputation and her own safety. But JJ Maybank is, by far and most certainly, who's suffering the most with John B's absence. After stealing his father's Phantom boat, JJ got kicked out of his house and has to live in the Chateau. But being surrounded by the memories of his wrecked friendships isn't doing him any good. He's as reckless, wild and cold-blooded as ever. JJ is putting on a facade, but Kie can always see right through his bullshit. And telling her to stop being emotional won't prevent her from helping him.

Book 1: Kiara and JJ (Netflix's Outer Banks) Book 2: Jiara's Wedding. This story takes place right after the end of season 1. Kiara, JJ, and Pope's bestfriend, John B.and his girlfriend, Sarah tried to escape from her family since they just framed him for murder but he didn't do it. John B. and Sarah try to escape the cops on the water going right into a storm and the cops tell Kiara, JJ, and Pope that they couldn't find them. Pope just admitted his feelings for Kiara in the end but she didn't want that until she kissed him. But she said she never wanted to be with him because they have a rule no pogue on pogue action. But they end at up together at the end of season 1 on Outer Banks. Now JJ is the only single one left but him and Kiara always had chemistry because she was there for him when she found out his dad was beating him. How will he react to his two bestfriends getting together and while he doesn't even know if is other two are alive? Will he confront Pope and Kiara about their relationship? Will he be a third wheel? the summer was supposed to be about the pogues making new memories, but at the end the group is just in ruins, sarah and john b are dead, pope lost his scholarship and his best friend, kiara's relationship life goes from nothing to too much and jj's dad is an abusive drunk. jj and kiara are both numb after the summer's events, still feeling the consequences of all that happened- they need something new, something to make them feel something again. little did they know they're eachothers something.
