Oh! Why, you must be the lovely reader! It's truly a pleasure to meet you. Now, I don't mean to scare you off. After all, it's fairly infrequent that someone reads this. But I feel the need to warn you since I couldn't warn myself. My story doesn't have a happy ending. As much as younger me would have wanted a fairytale ending, the world doesn't work like that.
