Unknown to the surface dwellers, humans if you may, these marking were sometimes matched with a demon or angel. They were rare occurrences, only a 1/1000 chance. Whoever had this occurrence often found their soulmate after they past away as a human or humanoid. Among these people, was someone of both Angelic and Demonic origins, in disguise of a human. She went off to find her best friend in hopes of bringing him back home. In her journey, a certain white haired, greedy demon was matched to her as her soulmate. I wanted to do a fanfic about Lucifer, so I just thought of a bunch of short stories.
