FREE STORY WITH EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. This is *not* a Paid Story. Eighteen-year-old hockey prodigy Elliot Wexler has three goals for senior year. One: somehow graduate with a 3.5 GPA. Two: hide his bipolar disorder from his peers. And three: make it into the NHL with no scandals. Piece of cake. What he doesn't expect is to find Lucy, a homeless girl, hiding from the winter frost in his dad's shed. Elliot's busy, complicated life doesn't permit room for error, and falling in love with a girl from a totally different world sounds like the opposite of a good idea. But Elliot can't help but be drawn to Lucy and her elusive ways--even when she seems to vanish from his life non-stop, each time leaving him with a bigger hole in his heart. But Elliot is determined to break down Lucy's barriers. And when he does, he discovers that her life is more complicated--and dangerous--than he could have imagined. With drafting season approaching, and Elliot's fragile mental health deteriorating, he's forced to face a difficult question: Is first love supposed to hurt so much? *** PLEASE DO NOT ADD THIS STORY TO GOODREADS.

UNEDITED Calla Henrik's family runs the best ATV business in town, and she's ready to take over the family business for the summer while her parents go on a much-needed vacation. She's ready to earn some money before she attends the University of Alberta to become a conservation officer. Calla loves teaching kids how to ride dirtbikes, socializing with the regulars who visit the trail system for the day, and taking care of the campsite and trails. She's prepared for a relaxed summer, one where she spends all her time doing the one thing she loves. Maddox Kase wants nothing more than to get the hell out of his house. Being the son of one of the most infamous drug dealers in the BC Interior doesn't have its perks. From being abused by his father to being judged before he's even given a chance, Maddox is tired of dealing with people. All he wants is to get away from his home for the summer before he leaves for university. So when he sees an ad online about a job teaching kids how to ride dirtbikes, Maddox sends in his resumé immediately. What's better than nursing one of his passions (dirt biking) and getting away from his psychotic father? Calla has heard of Maddox Kase before, and although she knows it's impolite to judge people without getting to know them, she's a little skeptical of working with him. But as the summer goes on, both Calla and Maddox begin to realize that they have a lot more in common than they originally thought. And maybe something a lot bigger than a simple friendship...

Eva is an enigma; as bright and kind as she is closed and distant. Ryan is a player; as blithe and uncouth as he is drowning and empty. The two shouldn't even be friends, but each sees in the other what the rest miss: Beneath the exterior festers a tumult of secrets, lies, and despair that may soon cause their carefully crafted worlds to come crashing down.

"Who is this young man?" The last time someone asked Sharon that question, she lied. This time, she has no choice but to tell the truth and face all of the consequences that come with it. Sharon didn't necessarily lie to her parents, but she never did tell them that they have another grandson. This is Excavate/Fallout-verse, but doesn't necessarily fit into the narratives of either. The idea for this came from kikiiriss, who suggested I introduce some extended family and gave me a huge spark of inspiration. This story will likely be around 15,000 words.
