That's not to say you can't include diversity, but DesertPunk strives to make the most of little, with technology tailor-made for such harsh conditions.

Wattpad is wattching. 60 issues ago, we invented a brand-new sub-genre: WattPunk. Imagine, if you will, that Wattpad--and writing--rules the world. Now we're doin' it again! Scary, huh?

Exactly as it says on the tin! Coinciding with Pride Month, we're tackling LGBTQ+ SF, which focuses on themes of alienation, equality, love, the concept of masculinity and femininity, and so much more!

BioPunk focuses on biotechnology -- technology that alters the genetics of an organism. Broadly, this can even refer to selective breeding, but for the purposes of BioPunk fiction, it tends to refer to things like bioengineering, or biomods, which are programmed to enhance or alter the abilities of an individual.

Combining traditional African culture with the endless possibilities that is our science-fiction future, AfroFuturism is one of sci-fi's most unique and little-known contributions. Dive on in!
