Branch, heartbroken, isolates himself from everyone in the village, somehow not going grey. Poppy is also heartbroken, seeks advice from Bridget and realises she should listen to her heart. Poppy and Branch discover that there are six different troll tribes scattered over six different lands. Each tribe is also devoted to six different kinds of music -- funk, country, techno, classical, pop and rock. When rockers Queen Barb and King Thrash set out to destroy the other music, Poppy and Branch embark on a daring mission to unite the trolls and save the diverse melodies from becoming extinct. The new discovery soon leads Poppy and her friends to find that there are other kinds of trolls in the world, each defined by a string that represents their type of music. When Barb plans to take the strings and destroy all types of music, the clock is against Poppy and the Gang to unite the trolls kingdoms and get them working together to help defeat her. (Like the other fics of the same title, this is not official, just what I think will happen based on the trailer and some headcanons)
