However, he meets Phil Lester, the outgoing flirt with too big of a heart to handle. The two become close, and Dan soon realizes that even with his switch off, he can't deny that Phil is slowly reaching to turn it back on, and Dan can't seem to push his hand away.

Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

Dan and Phil are both secretely in love with eachother, but both are too scared tell one another. So, when at a party they are both dared to tell the truth about eachother, will they finally open up? Or just shy away like how it has always been? What will happen then?

The idea for this fic was inspired by a comment on the video "2009: Phan song" on YouTube. I added my own little twists here and there to make it longer and more detailed.
