La Seconda Guerra Magica si è conclusa al meglio, la scuola è stata ricostruita e gli studenti posso recuperare l'anno perso. Era una giornata piena di sole a Londra. No, in realtà no. Forse era anche una giornata piovosa. Poteva essere pomeriggio, ma magari era sera. Draco, questo, non poteva saperlo. Ma, cosa più preoccupante, non parla. Nessun suono lascia la sua bocca da ormai sette anni. E i suoi genitori? Dicevano di non poter sopportarlo. Non potevano sopportare il fatto che il loro unico figlio fosse ricoverato in un'ospedale psichiatrico. Non potevano sopportare il fatto che lui, si fosse spento proprio sotto i loro occhi, ignari di tutto ciò che succedeva alla loro creatura. Tutti oramai lo ritenevano pazzo, così a soli quindici anni, lo mandarono in quell'ospedale, senza riuscire a capire cosa fosse successo a quel ragazzo che una volta era simpatico e solare. Ormai tutti i medici lo ritenevano un caso senza speranze. Ma Harry, il nuovo dottore, rimase colpito in un modo indelebile. Colpito dai suoi capelli d'oro bianco, ora sporchi e scompigliati.
