This story was inspired by the game 'Barotrauma'. In a nutshell, Barotrauma is a multiplayer sci-fi horror submarine management simulator... in space. You play as one of the crewmembers aboard, and have to constrantly struggle for the survival of you and your crewmates in the dangerous subsurface ocean of Europa - a moon of Jupiter, one of the few places in our solar system where scientists theorize the existence of alien life even in real life... The average thickness of the Europan ice crust is 20 kilometres. If a submarine on Earth has a leak, you can perhaps hope the emergency blow gets you back onto the surface so you can escape before it sinks. But on Europa, twenty kilometres under the surface of the ice, if something goes wrong, there is no coming back. One of the most likely causes of death for the settlers of this frigid ocean, is barotrauma.

Captain Rogers is a pilot for the Coalition, and has been one for many years. Over the years of work, he managed his way to the captains chair of the S.S. Reminder, a Aegir Mark III. With his crew of 8, he plans to make his way to Outpost Lima, the main base of the Coalition.
