A mystery masked trainer suddenly appears and intense drama unfolds. He seems to have an interest in a certain blue-eyed performer, but why? Who's the masked trainer? What's his goal? And most importantly, who'll win the tournament?

5 years from the Past, Ash had been betrayed and has completely mastered his Aura. While standing on top of a hill with his trustworthy friend, Serena, and his partners, Pikachu and Lucario. Ash receives a letter from the Pokemon League. He is now on a mission to take revenge from the people who betrayed him. Notice: I don't own any of these characters in the story.

(This is my first fanfic, so please don't brutally murder me if I did something wrong.) Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon! Ash has completed his final Grand Trial, and is now headed to the newly built Alola League. On the way there, he is reunited with a few old friends, and has several encounters with unfamiliar creatures that originate from mysterious wormholes that appear in the sky. Once they make it to the League, Ash is able to battle with new people and familiar trainers. The League was going well, until an unfamiliar woman releases a mysterious power that opens up a hole in the sky. Those strange creatures start emerging from that hole and begin wreaking havoc on the League. Our protagonists must muster all of their strength and fight against an unyielding army from a different time and dimension. If they fail, the world will be forced to bow to a dark future... (A/N: Ash and his friends are sixteen in this. I know that making Ash age is literal blasphemy but whatever, this is fanfiction so anything goes.) (A/N 2: This story was initially published in 2016/2017, and chapters 1-16 were published in the few years after that. I returned to this story in 2022. As such, chapters 1-16 have been or are in the process of being heavily revised to improve overall narrative flow and characterization.)

Ash and Serena's relationship took a whole different turn after they kissed- and not on the cheeks. After that kiss, Ash has finally somewhat understood something. Serena loved him.
