There is a stage between childhood and adulthood that makes us all want to bang our heads into a concrete wall as if that will somehow make us forget the things we did in that cringe-worthy stage of adolescence. That golden era of bad haircuts, first and last dates, and that undeniable feeling of wanting to fit in. Teenagehood. Surviving it is a feat in itself, and the memories you make may haunt you forever. So this is my guide to the good, the bad, and the ugly of surviving teenagehood. Yes this will include anecdotes. Family may break you, but there are strangers that will walk you through the journey of healing and help you find the light. After the death of Mary's parents, her older brother-who was just eighteen at the time- became the CEO of their parents company, Jarius Incorporated, an oil company in Nigeria. In the midst of the tragedy, he struggled to keep his parent's legacy. Meanwhile, ten year old Mary found comfort in her brother. Unfortunately, her solace was ripped away when her brother sent her off to their Uncle in the United States. Their uncle on the other hand, is wrapped up in the dark world of money, lust, drugs and arrogance. His greed pioneered a prostitution organisation, forcing Mary to grow into the work. All men are the same to her, "All they want is carnal satisfaction." Until one day, one of her clients, John, wouldn't sleep with her. He'd rather take her out for dinner as his "satisfaction." Mary isn't sure if she can trust this stranger, or is she afraid of finding love that she can never have or keep, because her freedom is constrained by her Uncle's pride and fallacy. Mary and John go on a journey, navigating their faith in a dangerous world that threatens their lives. But maybe, just maybe, Mary's smothered hope will ignite. Mary will learn that she can be made whole again by receiving Jesus as her Lord and saviour, coming as she is, bruised and shattered.

UPDATE! Mind of a Christian Chapter 2 is out, which will revisit some topics here, as well as cover new thoughts: https://www.wattpad.com/story/267417608-mind-of-a-christian-chapter-2 -------------------------------- I'll say it now, I haven't been a Christian for a long time. Even though time isn't necessarily a deciding factor in spiritual growth, I still can't claim that I've grown to be spiritually mature. BUT, I keep learning new things about God and how great He is, and that's super exciting! I want to share the great things about our God to you, so that we may all know His glory. If you're a Christian reading this, I would like to share you things that may hopefully strengthen your walk in the Messiah. If you're not a Christian but you're still reading this, I hope that I may provide sound and reasonable arguments for the God of Israel. Like any human, I'm not going to be perfect in delivering what I share, so if I mess up somewhere, you can even rebuke me and tell me how I presented something wrong! Do you have a bad stigma against Christianity? Do you think that it's right or wrong of us to hate gays or certain people? Do you want to know more about God and how to become closer to Him? Do you want evidence on His existence itself? Share your thoughts! Let's come together and engage with your opinions - both good and bad, peaceful and controversial - here!

I thought to myself, I could not possibly be the only teenage girl out there who wants to grow deeper and stronger in faith. I could not possibly be the only teenage girl out there who is struggling in living the Christian life. There has got to be other teenage people out there who can relate with what I am going through. So I had this idea of posting this for people out there to see. This is not a devotional. This is more like a faith journal. How and what I write here is like how I write in my notebook that is just between me and God. Only, I'm sharing it with you.

FROM A CHRISTIAN GIRL'S PERSPECTIVE "The internet can be used as our voice and writing this book is an opportunity for me to share my beliefs to others and fulfill my purpose of making disciples and glorifying God."-Marielle Hey! You came across this book not by accident but by His will. Whether you're curious about Christianity or if you're still a young Christian or you've been Christian for a long time, this book is for you. I am just a growing Christian girl who wants to share what God has done in my life, what He has promised for us, great song suggestions, advice and stuff. I'm sorry if the grammar is not perfect or if I have typos but I'll try to correct those. If you're still reading this, I want you to know that you are so much more than who you think you are. However, if you will just go to the comment section to bash me because of my faith, you are just wasting your time. Remember that we each have our own beliefs and you should respect that. Honor God. Make Disciples. P.S. Message me anytime if you want to talk about anything or want to ask for advice. But most importantly, talk to God first.
