Nina lives during one of the worst apocalypses the world has ever seen, not including the year everyone thought the sun was going to explode. A new breed of zombies and monsters walk freely on earth, plagues have spread throughout numerous countries and natural disasters happen frequently world wide. This is the world Nina and her friends live in and she is all too prepared to die rolling her eyes one last time when the disaster happening outside finally gets to her. But when her clumsy cousin Shay gets trapped in a quarantined area infested with monsters, someone's gotta save her. [This book is just a first draft]

There's something wrong with Kiran's city. First it was Lower Sector - flickering street lights, the lighted windows going out one by one, like candles blown out by a slow, invisible breeze - and now Middle Society is starting to feel the effects of the Black Wave: the slow but steady darkness sweeping over the city. Kiran is all too aware of the way the street lights are dimming, of the way her bedroom light takes one, two, three tries to turn on. Her sister pretends not to notice it and her mother is content with letting the Black Wave take its course, but Kiran is worried. Already, whispered stories are spreading throughout her school, like an airborne disease that tells a tale of panic, fear and death in Lower Sector. So when she's approached by a mysterious man in black who tells her nothing but an address and a whispered, "fight for the light," her decision is an easy one. Because in Kiran's world, there are only two options: learn to live in the darkness, or fight to bring back the light. © 2015 by shayebay This novel is entirely a work of fiction. "Usually innocents like you have time to grow into their magic before they have to break the rules. You don't have that time, Minta. Please believe me, you need to be ready. I'm risking everything to make you ready." I stopped and searched his eyes for further explanation, and there was a near moment of clarity before Edgar looked away, releasing me gently. "Risk what, Edgar?" A Touch of Magic... Minta has a choice; she can turn away from magic or embrace it. Desperate for a destiny, it's a no brainer. Guided by the cat who's been following her around, and her dead aunt's sidekick Gladys Jones, Minta begins by fixing problems with bullies, and finding Prince Charming for her b.f.f. Who'd of thought there were so many Cinderella's in need of makeovers? It's not long before Minta wants change her own romantic fortunes too (it's worked for everyone else). But life is never that simple and as Minta grapples with her future, there are others trying to stop her from having one. But who and why? Minta hasn't a clue. Though she does have her suspicions about the cat... Eventually, sacrificing her own (and very human) desires to follow her path, Minta's destiny becomes clear; this is a story of self-belief and resolution, first crushes & love (and the journey towards grasping the difference). Mostly though, this is a book about magic. Cover kindly made by @alessandra

*** "*Sobs* I'm so happy to have a character that's exactly like me." - @TakenUsernameSoz. "This story is so normal that it's unique; a breath of fresh air! Gives us normal girls hope, hi hi!" - @LocalSlayer "This book is seriously my inspiration to not be afraid to show who I am." - @Who_Says_Duh "THAT IS SO ME!!!!! IS THIS SOME TYPE OF VOODOO, MAGICAL BOOK OR SOME SHIT?!?!" - @ThePanther10101. *** Let's face it, none of those cliché situations from movies between a guy and a girl ever happen in real life. I'm not going to end up accidentally bumping into my future husband in a café, spilling a latte over him. I'm not going to go up to some random stranger and ask him for directions and he'll become mesmerised by the colour of my eyes and fall in love with me. The window of my bedroom doesn't happen to be situated opposite to that of a 'bad boy neighbour'. I was daydreaming, again. Something I do on a daily basis. Nothing different, right? Well, let's just say I didn't snap out of my little 'trance' until I saw a guy waving frantically at me, smiling. Oh shit, he's hot. He probably thinks I was checking him out. Great, now he's coming over. Kill me. *** • Highest rankings: #1 in Modeling - #1 in Awkward - #3 in Humor.

Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing. Cytropolis is known far and wide as the city with the clumsiest and least influential superheroes ever. But it never mattered that much since the super villains were just as bad. That is, until recently when the villains decided to smarten up and open a super villain academy to train the newest generation (something that never occurred to the heroes). Luckily for them, Matt Miller has arrived. He may seem like an average, normal (even bordering on boring) seventeen-year-old boy, but when are things ever what they seem? He may be apathetic and bitter but he has super powers and he's kind of, well, powerful. He's the heroes only hope against the newest villain in town, Sinister Shadow, and he has no choice but to lend a hand (but he refuses to wear tights while he does it, he draws the line at tights). And with Matt's help (along with his little sister turned sidekick), the heroes just might win. *cover by @soundthealarm*
