Nagsimulang lumaganap ang pag-gamit ng aparatong ito dahil na rin sa pag-aproba ng gobyerno ng Europa upang mapahaba ang life span ng isang tao ngunit tinutulan ito ng ilang mga bansa dahil na rin sa pagkitil ng buhay upang maging container ng mga taong gumagamit nito.
