How did you-" "I don't know!" Aio cut him off. Why was everyone always blaming him?! What had he done to deserve that? He had no idea whatsoever about why the Sawtooth acted 'weirdly'. If he were alone, it would not have even occurred to him there was something 'off' with the beast. Machines had brains, didn't they? What was so wrong with them thinking? Or changing their behaviour? Nobody asked why a machine wasn't hostile around another machine, yet they asked why it wasn't around him. Where was the difference?
