What if Harry wasn't the golden boy everyone thought? What if his world of Hogwarts changes forever? Harry Potter was excited for school to start for his fifth year. He wanted nothing more than to get away from his abusive aunt, uncle, and cousin and get to see his friends and finally return home. But it's not the home he once thought. Professor Umbridge arrives to the school and resorts everyone, and Harry...gets placed into Slytherin. With the whole school now bullying him, his constant reoccurring nightmares getting worse, Harry no longer sees the point in living. He loses all his faith. But can a pale, blonde haired boy change the way Harry sees himself? And can Draco pull him out of the ground before he gets buried? This story will only follow a few things from the original book/movie. Umbridge is there, Harry still gets a lot of detentions from her, and his nightmares continue. Sirius will not die at the end of this and Harry and the rest of the gang don't end up going to the ministry. When Harry and Draco return to school for their eighth year, neither imagined they would be best friends. Yet, just minutes into the train ride, Harry is diving into a near-empty compartment for protection. A near-empty compartment with Draco Malfoy sat in it. When Ron and Hermione find him, raised voices end in a joke that never seems to leave the unlikely pair.

Blaise and Neville hit it off immediately, and Ron and Pansy definitely have a thing for each other. It starts with a game of Truth or Dare, and leads to Draco and Harry, despite trying over and over to be happy, constantly being torn apart by homophobia, jealousy, and fake bitches. Complete with stupid chapter names by yours truly. Humor, romance, pain, and redemption. Which will win out? Also Seamus is extremely gay for Dean, but we already knew that.

Voldemort's been defeated. Death eaters like Lucius are in Azkaban, and Harry, Ron, Hermione and others have been invited back to Hogwarts to catch up on their lessons. Harry find Draco alone in the Forbidden Forest, trying to master a spell that he insists will bring him happiness. Harry decides to help him, and as time goes by, old grudges are forgotten and replaced with new feelings.
