It was a little after graduation when he was taken by WICKED and at first he thought he was just there for a job, but after he saw what they were doing to those kids he had to help. He was going to free them. This lead WICKED into taking his memories and putting him in the maze. Soon he was free of the maze and was thought to be free of WICK, but then came the Scorch and finally into Death's Cure.
