Poor Iain. Ruby has been caught in the fire inside the school. Ruby is laying there unconscious. When they rush Ruby to hospital Iain just prays if his girlfriend will survive despite the burns on her legs and on her face. When Iain finds out Ruby needs to be on a ventilator breathing for her he vows to stay with Ruby.
