I see the pigskin flying through the air. I block the running back and run towards the ball. My hands open, waiting to feel the ball in my hands. The feeling never comes. I turn to see a giant, 200 pound man running towards me at full speed. My mind doesn't process it until it's to late. All of the sudden I'm weightless and can't feel the ground underneath me. Then I feel the sickening crunch as my back hits the fake grass. I feel like I'm being dragged across the ground as my momentum launches me forward. I flip over and my shoulder hits the ground with a solid thud. That's not the worst part. My helmet goes soaring through the air and it's so quite, I can hear it land. I see my helmet on the ground and know it's too late. Jess Arthur, a quiet, shy girl is suddenly thrust back into Football, a game not only one of her her favorites, but her most feared. She knows that the guys would never accept her, so she disguises her self as Wolf, a masked player. Nothing could go wrong, right?

"What're you doing? You can't play Riley!" He yelled at me from the sidelines looking at my ankle, that was clearly broken. "Watch me!" I yelled back. I ran... I limped to the huddle and called the play. Riley Smith always had a passion for football. She played on teams when she was younger, and now she decided to try out for the high school team. Everyone said she's crazy. Everyone stared. Everyone said she couldn't do it. But she knew she could. She was breaking stereotypes. *COMPLETED* WARNING I wrote this when I was 11/12, and just posted now after finding it, making a really bad n fast moving book

Not every blonde is stupid. In the South if you're a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed girl high expectations are made. Either you're not extremely smart, so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. Or you are smart and you just pretend to be dumb so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. All her life Avery Skinner has been told what to do and how to do it- by everyone. By her mother, the girls she calls friends, the guys in school, teachers, family, even Mark the mailman. Needless to say, she's sick of it. Its time Avery took control of her life or at least get a firm grip on the sucker. She's loved football ever since she was a little girl. Yet she could never play because ladies aren't supposed to do such barbaric things. Especially in the South- unless its a rodeo and you're wearing those ridiculously tight outfits that show you're navel or showing you can hold your liquor. Avery has longed to be on the field, throwing the ball instead of cheering on the team her dad coaches that can't seem to win. Then her best friend Austin forces Avery to and for sometime everyone is fooled. But the truth can only be hidden for so long. The moment the townsfolk of Stonehenge, Alabama learned it was a girl under that helmet, was the moment true colors showed. It hasn't been easy and it won't get any better but Avery is here to play. * Avery is going to face REAL life problems, and not nice people. She's going to deal with sexual harassment, mean words, rude people, pregnancy, injuries, steroids, etc.. In this story I want to exemplify how sexist and cruel humans can be. There will be hard moments, but I want to put it out there because it IS a serious problem. Harsh language and such will be present. You have been warned, don't read it then complain. Selena's life is in shambles. Isolated by most of her family, witnessing a lifelong friendship crumbling before her eyes, and being torn apart from the boy she fell so idiotically in love with, she doesn't see how things could get much worse. But once again, the universe finds uncanny enjoyment in proving her wrong. On the other end of the spectrum, Conner's not doing much better. Like Selena, his family is completely against Conner and his girlfriend's entire relationship. The only difference being, his family is on the side against him. And as if he wasn't unlucky enough, Selena's handsome and foreign almost-ex-boyfriend picked the perfect time to come and pay them a visit. With more than ever on the line, what started out as harmless fun has morphed into something entirely more heartbreaking. Even best friends have their issues sometimes, right?

Conner Rogers: Hot, athletic, and popular, with an ego the size of the Empire State Building. Selena Rider: Clumsy, uncoordinated-and-most-definitely-not-athletic, and sarcastic, with an unfortunate affinity for making self destructive life decisions. Against all odds, Selena and Conner have remained best friends longer than either can even recall, joined at the hip and constantly searching for adventure. Or trouble. Or both. Until puberty kicks in, and BAM!, they go from being best friends for life, to best friends with benefits. No one else knows, for now anyways, and keeping it that way will prove more of a challenge than expected. The two will have to deal with the fact, that the things they want, are sometimes the things that they never expected to want. There's a test of devotion and friendship approaching them, and no one is certain that they will make it out with their hearts in one piece. After all, best friends are forever. Right? UNDER MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION! So if things aren't making any sense, it's because I've been going back and editing everything XD
