Eboni Ames grew up in The Quarters-a tiny, but historic, Black settlement just outside Whitman, Arizona. Her classmate, Ahn Ji-Yeong, grew up in the only Asian family in Whitman and harbored a secret crush on Eboni. Eventually, they both left their hometown to follow their dreams. Eboni's vision of a being a celebrity chef faded in California, where the foodie scene was flooded with thousands of other wannabes, and her family soul food recipes weren't enough to catch the eye of foodies seeking flashier fare. Meanwhile, AJ became a K-pop and K-drama megastar, sitting at the top of the Billboard charts and the Netflix top ten. When Eboni is forced to return home and take a day job while trying to get her soul food catering business off the ground, she finds that AJ has come home too. The bright spotlights of the K-pop industry cast a very dark shadow, and AJ needs a break. Still carrying a torch for his childhood love, AJ offers his Korean fried chicken recipe to help draw attention to Eboni's business. As their lives become more and more intertwined, the heat turns up outside of the kitchen as well. But when their pasts come back to haunt them, Eboni and AJ will have to make tough choices about what they are and want to be to each other. Bookworm Alicia Woodson only cares about one thing: having a successful life now that she's done with college. And the way she plans to do that is to land an entry-level position at the magazine she currently works for as a paid intern. Gorgeous Rodney Greene, who didn't graduate college, works as a construction worker and who's family history is pretty sketchy, only cares about proving to himself that he isn't like these other Harlem guys that are caught up in the mix. Under normal circumstances, Alicia and Rodney wouldn't have crossed paths, but fate intervenes when Alicia meets Rodney through her fine best friend Maxine, the girl he's currently talking to. Alicia doesn't understand what Maxine sees in him and Rodney thinks Alicia is stuck-up around him because he didn't finish school, but what happens when the two keep running into one another and soon their first impressions change and their feelings start to develop for one another?

Four African-American witches on the run from a Warlock detective, a jilted lover, and a ridiculous super clingy cat named Mister Purr. *** It's Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans, and instead of celebrating with deep-fried beignets and dancing, Yanni finds herself in a dark alley with her three 'sisters'-staring down at a lifeless body. Shocked and scared, they realize something's off about this death. The body is twisted in a way that's not normal, and Yanni can't shake the feeling that dark magic is involved. With one sister panicking, another making sarcastic comments, and the eldest sister, Aunt BeeBee, trying to stay calm, Yanni's life takes a turn she never expected. The dead man's identity remains a mystery, and the sisters know one thing for sure: they can't let anyone find out. The four of them are witches, each representing one of the four elements, bound by magic and a sisterhood. But when it comes to covering up a murder, will they stick together or fall apart? Yanni's got a big decision to make. Will she go along with Aunt BeeBee's plan to cover it up, or will she risk everything to do what's right? With Mardi Gras chaos swirling around them, the sisters' bond is tested as they navigate dark magic, secrets, and their own fears. One thing's for sure-nothing in New Orleans will ever be the same. He also has the competence to make soaring grades while still managing to keep up with Lebron "King James" James, basketball stats. Some say he is talented. Even when he has changed his major "fifty fucking times because I just can't get shit right." He seems to have it all - no, really he is a great kid. With this "total package" comes a heavy toll - more like an endless buffet of annoying verbal comebacks. Yeah, he is one of those and wastes no time letting everyone know. One thing brings them together and one thing tears them apart. The storm that happens in between may not be the hardest to solve, after all, what would be a storm without lightening and thunder? These two are more alike than they may believe and "Storm" will help us find out just how alike they truly are. ------ Welcome to the "Storm" series.
