She was pissed that it took her friend. Jessica promised Rachel that she'd find the demon that killed her. So, she trained herself to be a hunter. It took her awhile to find the demons trail, Which led Jessica to a town in Manning Colorado. That's where she met the Winchester boys. That's how her life began to change.
