This story takes place in the timeline after Evo, where Grian goes through the update portal and ends up in Hermitcraft instead of with the rest of his friends. Desperately missing Taurtis, Grian tries to live to the fullest in Hermitcraft, but his other Hermits quickly start to realize something is wrong. Season 7 had started a couple of months ago and yet Grian kept on having nightmares about a destroyed server engulfed in purple flames since the day he stepped in the new world. An oddly familiar server. At first he didn't pay much attention to them and tried to forget the ghosts of his past but when one of said ghosts crashed in the Cowmercial district asking for his help he understood that he couldn't keep on running forever, especially when his old friend's lives were being threatened by some evil beings he knew very well, because nothing is stronger than an Admin's Allegiance

In a world where all magic is outlawed, finding a magic user is a hard thing to do. Being one is so much harder, with authorities who would hunt you down untill they kill you and no-one you can trust, how could a magic user hope to survive? Hermitcraft is a hidden safe-space, where magic users can hide from the authorities, the outside world, in a family of other magic users, but it's impossible to find without being brought there, so many magic users could never hope for salvation, since they don't know it exists.
