Valeria Crestlin and all the other vampires in town are forced to attend a boarding school for vampires. These students must adjust to their new life, having never really been able to socialize with other vampires because of strict laws in this small town, and hopefully avoid drama. Meanwhile, everyone is trying to figure out what the founders of this town are up to, which Valeria and some other students make it their mission to do.

Arteria is home to warriors, assassins and sorcerers in an unstable truce fighting a never ending struggle against sentient plants. Our protagonist Draven always wanted to be a warrior, to fight for his people, the Crimson against the barbaric Horde. His path was obstructed by a siege, killing his parents and leaving him to care for his sister Aura indefinitely. However, opportunities arise to become a sorcerer of Dawn; something is finally looking up for him, but pressure from home leads to an unexpected journey, of blood, truth and liberty.
